try to put the gear in neutral for 2 seconds, the put in reverse, and see if that still gives you the clonking.

I am guessing the car was at the dealer for the seat heaters
Did you give them the list of other problems?

Its always a game sorting out your new-used car

Mine came from a lady who was certain it had new transmission- absolutly certain!
NOPE just the oil jet recall had been done
And within 2 months I was at the dealer for the replace trans job- thanks Warranty !

Service Writers-- Oh yeah its all good now- like new
Customer hears
All new thanks!

I'm actually having the same problem as you. I also wonder what was that clonking noise. After I reverse and put it in drive...i have to wake a few seconds before it kicks into gear. Does that also happen to you?

If it's coming from there I don't think it will be the transmission. I have a clicking sound when I'm turning and accelerating at the same time. I believe that my ball joints or something in there is what's making the noise in my problem. I have about 76k miles on mine how about your car?

mine is 49,931...yes, i'm thinking something with the axles. what is the ball joint? turning wheel and accelerating makes that noise.
