Climate Control Lights

I have a 99 TL non-navi and the right side of the climate control did not light up. I switched the bulbs around in the back but it still did not illuminate. I got one out of the junk yard and it works sometimes. If it does not light up I give it a little tap and it lights back up. This one has the problem on the right side also. Anybody have problems with theirs?

well there are two things to consider here. the first being whether you have the right bulbs in the right places, because using the black bulbs where the brown ones should go cause the same problem. also do you know that the bulbs are good?

The bulbs are definately in the right location. It acts up sometimes and if you give it a little tap the lights will work again. Just wondering if anyone had problems with this before.

well if multiple bulbs in the same location are doing it then maybe it's something in the harness at the power pin. or a loose connection inside the unit. now if you say you tried two different climate control units then i would point to something wrong with the harness myself.

is it under warranty?

Yeah I have like 3 lights out on my A/C panel on my 02TLS Navi.... I'm wondering if its just bulbs that need to be replaced - and if so, are they just snap in, or do you have to solder everything together?

the A/C panel lights just twist in place. not a big deal to replace at all.

you under warranty? sounds like a wiring issue. i assume you checked your fuses, right?
