Ok I know this has been posted a hundred times but I'd like to fill you in on what my car's doing.

All right, so I took it to the track about a week ago. After the third run I went and parked, turned the car off, and came back about 15 minutes later to run again. Started the car up and it idled extremely rough, I took the car to a local autozone and they informed me it was code P1399...misfire. When I started the car up at autozone it was fine, no rough idle, nothing, ran like it always has. This is what gets me, it only does it SOMETIMES. Maybe like every other day, and when I drive it, it idles fine...its ONLY at initial start up.

I've replaced the spark plugs about 8 months ago with NGK, about 3 days ago I tried buying one ignition coil and switching it out with all of them. It was hard to tell if it helped or not because at the time it wasn't misfiring. When I put the spacer in I cleaned the EGR...maybe not well enough though? Car has 170,000 miles on it, not sure what kind of shape injectors are in. If it was a clogged injector wouldn't it do it all the time?

Now I don't know if this makes a difference or anything but the car did sit for about 4 months. Started up 2 times out of that four months. Any info would be appreciated...Thanks

 

When you clear the code does it come back? Its kinda hard to say if its only a random thing. You may want to run some Fuel injector cleaner thru a tank or 2 to see if its just a dirty fuel injector

 

The light has come back on one time since last week. When it idles rough sometimes the code will come back on and sometimes it won't. I'll try the seamfoam when get lower on gas.

 

Went Sportshift WOT in 3th gear and got code P1399 ...the next morning scan the ECU and P 1399 is gone and never come back ...
