Water in my trunk
Water in my trunk
I bought my car not long ago and I was told that the trunk had to be drained. I did not think much of it then because I did not think it would be an on going problem. Every time it rains water somehow end up in the trunk and accumulates in the trunk with the spair tire. If I do not remove the plug it will just flow into the back seat when breaking.
This is what I have done so far. I have inspected the entire trunk to make sure there are no holes and the rubber seal is there which I think seals the trunk.
I have adjusted the 2 rubber stumpers on the trunk so that i closes all the way down.
And still water is leaking some how when it rains...
Has anyone experienced this and how was this problem fixed, suggestions would be appreciated.

I have this same problem in my CL.
Ok...what I found was that I had two leaks.
* One in the rear window seal.
* Another in the trunk edge.
So for me...I have to get the rear window popped out & re-sealed.
And I have to get the trunk lid sealed all the way around with Silicon.
In the meantime I laid towels everywhere and change them every other day if there is moisture to the touch.
Also...I put this in my trunk and it's working great with keep everything dry!
