Check your brakes/ brake fluid. More than likely, your fluid is a hair low. Happened to me a few weeks ago.

My cap started to fail, $30 at the dealership stop the problem. They replaced the cap.

Also if you're brake fluid is low, you should check for leaks. You shouldn't be losing any fluid in the reservoir at all.

^^ exactly, theres a cause and effect for everything, dont just top it up, find out what is leaking, if u can and got the time, check the lines along the driver side for leaks, and the p-valve.....

but when did u do ur brakes? most likely what prob did happen is that ur pads are low, and now the fluid is all in the cavity of the piston on the calipers...bet my money on that..

I would bet my car on it that it's the master cylinder cap, a $30 part. It literally takes 10 seconds to take the old one out and put the new one in, I had the same problem and now it's gone away.

Brake Light On During Cold Weather

I have a similar problem with my 2000 Acura 3.2 TL in cold weather only. I suspect a brake or wheel sensor as I have no brake fluid leaks. It can also be the ABS system. I have not yet checked computer fault codes but will do so this weekend.

Did you determine what triggered your brake light?

Thanks,

Ted

Same problem I had previously, the master cylinder cap fixed that right up

Been happening to mine too in the AM. I think I will do like 2000T said and purchase a new cap. I know there are no leaks, and brand new brakes (full fluid). Is kind of annoying.

Dont replace teh cap just yet. Take it off and clean it. There is a float on it that gets hung up. Just clean every thing with brake fluid and reinstall. see if it goes away. Also top off any brake fluid thats needed.
