Brake Indicator came on

Brake Indicator came on

Hi guys, a few days ago, the Brake Indicator on the dash came on and stay that way every time i apply the break. So is there something wrong with my break or any suggestions

look at the fluid level in the master cylinder- if its down the light will come on
Read the owner book for other things that will trigger the warning light

Thanks 01tl4tl , so the fliud level is the only cause for this ?

Most likely it's the master cylinder fluid being low. Refill and check back with us to see if it still stays on.

hey guys, i did check the fluid but couldnt see the line limit of it, but when i open it up, he liquid reached to the top . So that would be ok right. Man im to young and i dont really know much about cars. Thanks for your helps.

Look at the side of the master cyl. It has lines of max and min. You should see the fluid level. On the cap when you pull it out there is a float that moves up and down. Make sure it moves up and down freely.

did you possibly happen to hit the emergency brake pedal, 1or2 clicks may not be enuff to apply the E-brake, but it will cause the brake light to light up.

It could be pads are low bringing the fluid below min level, emergency brake is on, fluid reservoir cap is defective.
