Battery problems
Battery problems
I replaced my battery back in March because the dealer told me it was going bad. It was around 4-5 years old so that was not too surprising. Then a week ago, they told me my new one was going bad. I found this odd but sure enough, the next day my car was completely dead. I exchanged that battery since it was still under warranty but now this week, my other new one is going bad. I am not good with testing and diagnosing electrical problems. There are no check engine lights or any other lights indicating the battery is not charging. Anyone have any ideas?
the dealer should have run a charging system test and printed out the results for you
get to the parts store after charging battery on a machine--parts stores do that for free in most cases- then test it for you with just the batt- then install in car and retest entire charging system
Many of us are ready for new cables too- 10 years and a lot of juice run thru them...
New batteries seem to fail more often than old ones!!
if you watch tv and see how they are made- its amazing they work at all
