Anyone replace there Trans/engine Mount?
Anyone replace there Trans/engine Mount?
Well my car is currently at acura getting its free tranny installed today, and they called me to tell me that my front engine/tranny mount is leaking its oil filled mount... I just wondered if anyone eles has had this problem? or if its just something there tryin to get me on... Thanks guys
Front motor mount and tranny mount are two different things. Front motor mount
is the only mount thats oil based. Make sure you ask for the old mount back just to be sure it was needed. I had both front mount and side engine mount replaced when my tranny was replaced and Yes, its worth doing it with the tranny already out.

I am getting my front and passenger side motor mounts replaced today. My TL has 88,000 mi on it. I thought it was shifting kind of hard from 3rd to 4th. The TCS goes on to for no reason, so they will replace TCS unit. The other reason is maybe the battery cables are bad. Could a bad battery cable make the ECU throw out a bunch codes?
so I assume engine mounts gets damaged more easily when our cars go over harsh bumps from the roads eh?
I've seen people going through speed bumps without slowing down at all and I keep thinking they will need to replace their engine mounts in no time lol
