Its a fairly common issue with these cars. It would be cheapest to let them replace it now with the tranny out

Front motor mount and tranny mount are two different things. Front motor mount
is the only mount thats oil based. Make sure you ask for the old mount back just to be sure it was needed. I had both front mount and side engine mount replaced when my tranny was replaced and Yes, its worth doing it with the tranny already out.

I am getting my front and passenger side motor mounts replaced today. My TL has 88,000 mi on it. I thought it was shifting kind of hard from 3rd to 4th. The TCS goes on to for no reason, so they will replace TCS unit. The other reason is maybe the battery cables are bad. Could a bad battery cable make the ECU throw out a bunch codes?

so I assume engine mounts gets damaged more easily when our cars go over harsh bumps from the roads eh?

I've seen people going through speed bumps without slowing down at all and I keep thinking they will need to replace their engine mounts in no time lol

Design and motor are more likely to damage them than bumps in the road. How aggressive you take off and brake causing the motor to flop around is what tears them up
