Alright, i replaced my water pump and timing belt and 4 days later my radiator cracked so i replaced it with new one. And for the past 2 weeks ive been fighting an air pocket had to keep adding antifreeze everyday"maybe a 1/2 qt. So i bought the yellow spill proof funnel, thought i got it and 2 days later i had to add antifreeze again. No leaks, no mixing, no steam out exaust where is it going? Also new thermostat. 220k miles

 

Did you install the thermostat with the vent hole on top? If not then you have pockets of air in the engine block.

 

How much did you put in initially?

 

The coolant capacity is 6 Qts Total.

 

Put in 1.5 gal and in past 2 weeks almost another gal. And no i didnt put the housing with bleeder valve.

 

No not housing. See pic below.

 

It seems your air pocket is getting bigger and bigger. Jokes aside, have you checked your clamps on the rad hoses and all small hoses going to the tb and heater core? Also the lines going to the atf warmer!

You could have a slow leak from a hose but it burns off before you can see it. Look for residue.

Other area to check is your wp seal could have not been put on right. Also check the weep hole to make sure nothing is coming out. If it is your new wp is defective.

Last, get a leakdown detector for ~40 bucks. Test your cylinders. You could have a bad headgasket causing you to burn coolant. Let us know what you find!

 

Check your oil cap, is there any white foam there?

 

Gotcha on housing.
Yes i checked all hoses clamps etc. Ill have to check wp. Rebted a leakdown tester but it didnt fit my radiator. Havent had time to get another yet.
And no foam at oil cap.

 

is the engine oil level rising on the dipstick?

Did you follow the OWNER BOOK method on burping rad, requires much more than average car!!
MUST have heater on full hot with cabin fan on High speed, open car doors to vent heat!
Then its a few cycles of idle and 2000 rpm till driver side rad fan goes on and off
adding coolant as needed, total time approx. 15-20 minutes

Is the hose inside res bottle cap on tight? It falls off into bottle!

Cylinder leakdown test is different tool, used at the spark plug holes to ck for loss of compression = bad head gasket

any white smoke from exhaust??
