02 TL #1 Memory Seat light stays on...

The #1 Memory seat light stays on after I turn off the car... anyone have any guess as to why?

I turn off the car, turn off the lights, take out the key, get out close the doors, the dome light goes out, turn on the alarm - wait and wait and wait but the little number one light is still on...

If I make a seat adjustment then the light goes off (or if I go to position 2), but if I press position 1 - the seat returns to the correct settings but the light won't go off - even after I park, remove the key, get out, close the doors, lock and set alarm - the little light just stays on... forever?

Has this happened to anyone else? I tried searching the 2G forum and the problem and fixes forum under "seat" and clicked through almost the first 7 pages and didn't find anything related - any suggestions? (other than make a manual seat adjustment to get the light to turn off)

Thanks guys

So it stays on 24/7?

I can't believe I haven't noticed it yet.... (but I've only had the car for less than a month so it's possible...)

Yup, I'm pretty sure mine does the same thing, 24/7. I'll re-check later though.

Mine did that the other day, but I think it went off after I moved the seat so try that.

yeah i have to move the seat (any adjustment will do) to get the light to go off...

kinda bugs a little cause the whole point is to have two positions pre-programmed so I can have one and my wife can have the other - but that little light won't go off and I can't just leave it on - drives me nuts! lol

So I guess the easy work around is to just make a minor adjustment to the seat after selecting seating position 1 or 2.... then no more little light...

sigh.

Thanks for everyone's comments.

Why don't you want the light? How else would you know who's seat memory it's on?

It's not that I don't want the light - I think it's a great feature - I just want it to go off when I turn off the car - get out- lock the doors - set the alarm - and walk away... that little light still stays on...

seat memory light stays on

Hi. I have a '04 MDX with exactly the same problem where the seat memory light stays on. This has never happened before. I have 110,000 miles on it so it's out of warranty. The only way I've found to turn off the light is to press the seat adjustment, which then turns the light off.

I don't know how much power that light draws (is it an LED?) but I don't want it to drain my battery.

Does anyone know of any solution to the problem?

Thx for any help or suggestions.

The light means you're in the #1 or #2 driving position. Completely normal, read your manual as it mentions this (I think, but I don't have it ALL memorized). If it really bothers you then just move your seat a bit or just clear your seat memory if you're the only one using the TL
