02 memory seat

my 02 tl didnt have memory switch in the door panel when i bought it about two years ago. it has been in an accident prior to my ownership. Could the door panel have been replaced with a 2000-01 door panel?

02TL-- register with acura.com owner link and you can read the owner manual there- specific to each year
http://owners.acura.com/registration...erstepone.aspx

also register at 1 800 382 2238x5 need cars vin for both those systems
800 will ck if recalls are completed

ask the parts guy at your local dealer if its possible to interchange that year panel

Unlikely a parts counter guy could determine that, unless he has done it. They look at part #s- doesn't match, not the same part-

hi thanks for chiming in guys. so i just finished registering my acura and i asked the person to find out if the 2002 base came with memory seat and he said it did. So now the new question is any idea how much the part for the memory seat cost?

Mark the date folks! Kris is finally stumped!

And yeah, both the type s and the non type s have memory seats.

And if the car has been wrecked and repaired, I'd venture to say that the shop cheaped out and put older panels in...So all you need is probably the actual buttons, Im sure the seats still have the module in them.

First take your door panel off and see if the wiring is there. If it is, try to locate a used door panel. It would probably be cheaper and easier.

Its actually built into the multiplex, seat and ECU. All 3 control it. The part on the door is just a switch

Yeah the wire is in the when I took off the door panel to connect some plugs that my mechanic unplugged for some odd reason . Do you guys think i can just buy this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-...Q5fAccessories
and put it into my current door panel? cause im not sure if the current door handle hole will fit the new one.
