So i been having this problem for awhile.. Car runs fine except for the one problem.. when i shut car off for a little and then start it back it idles really rough, sometimes cut off.. It runs like its misfiring.. CEL and TCS Lights come on when this happens.. it mostly happens when its cold out.. the last owner of the car told me the air fuel ratio sensor needs to be change but i dont wanna buy it and its not the faulty part.. i pulled the codes and the were 5 cylinder misfire... i cleared the code and after a few miles the CEL came back on.. the misfire codes were gone but only one code remained which was for a o2 sensor.. i will get the codes that came up and put them up if that would make it easier.. Can someone help me out please? Im not a tech or anything but i know my basics and could fix this with a little guidence.. Thanks

Check out the site's "DIY" sticky for helpful info. It almost appears as though you may have a faulty coil. Also, if ya have not cleaned the EGR passageways and TB intake, it may help to try that. Perhaps the previous owner already had the problem analyzed. Does it do this on a cold start after sitting all night or only on the restart ?

Is this just a "cool" weather (i.e. spring/fall) issue? Does it happen when it's really cold, like in the middle of winter? How about in the summer?

summer time it runs fine.. its weird
