I'm with eggy on this one. Looks great, and your craftsmanship is superb, but as far as SQ goes it's a step backwards. Louder is not better.

Remember, when you go to a concert hall, the singers and musicians are not split up with some playing behind you

plain and simple.. so the people in the back can hear the music clear too.. the other dudes response was great and all but this is a everyday car, not an audio competition

so i got a question... when you're finished are you gonna wrap it in stock carpet and paint the speaker covers or are you gonna make it stand out? I think it would look bad ass if you wrap it in the factory carpet and somehow make the speaker covers look like the ones on the doors. just my

You can still do loud with just a front stage.

I get what eggy is saying, but for MOST people with daily drivers it doesn't even matter.
eggy is an exception. he might be a true audiophile, while MOST people are not.

i love my music.. but im in my car for maybe 30-45 minutes a day.. the last thing im worried about is my interior sounding like a perfectly equalized rock concert.

ok I'm going to say this. First off I think custom is good and fiberglass takes alot of work. So I'm giving you a lot of props for doing this. I do my own fiberglassing work and I know how much of a pain it can be especially sanding.

Eggy - I have done many SQ competitions and have been coached by a lot of SQ experts in the past. Its not about how many speakers you have, whether is 2 or 2000. The whole point of SQ is to make everything sound good together. If you add more speakers you have to compensate for the extra speakers. Maybe the person thought there front stage was to much and wanted to add more to the rear. Who knows. Its all about the the person listening to the music. And what they like. This is not USACi OR IASCI. I used to get bashed b/c I use to bash everyone's sound when I got in there car. Then realized that hey...that how they like their music, its their car they have the right to do what they want.

I'm sorry so long but I had to vent, b/c even though some people don't try to come over harsh, they fail at it. Maybe next time before anyone starts to bash the next person, maybe think about suggesting what would be better or would work better.

i like the outcome so far, the only thing i would've done is put the 6x9's flush with surface.. maybe the picture makes them seem as if they poke out a lot

True true...

It's sorta too late now, but i forgot to add, i would've added 2 smaller holes in the corners so your sub can vent into the cabin.

You kinda sealed off the rear deck so getting bass into the cabin is gonna be harder now.

my tl doesnt have speakers back there.... it has a sub... which is not very directional...

so i think placing them there probably wont sound very good.

lol i hate driving with the ski pass open, makes it look cheap, i dont mind the arm rest down but i like the ski pass closed... and it leaves a dip in the leather after a while..., when i get around to doing my rear deck im gonna put two bass ports and 2 8" or 10" Kicker CVTs just to try and get the frequencies my L7 cant get... damn square lol

anyways I like custom... and i know how hard fibreglass work is... i havent even finished mine... started last year but scrapped that idea... hopefully this new idea works better

so props
