I would say possibly look at Unichip + tuning air fuel ratios? VFAC controller? Or just go all out and buy a supercharger or do a turbo setup. It sounds like you've already covered most if not all of the bolt on's possible.

I know this will drum up some debate over whether or not the Unichip or VFAC are worth it. My opinion is that they are based on a couple posts I've read on the CL board and on other forums.

'Worth it' is a subjective term and only generates 'debates', i.e., it's useless. An objective term is $$$/hp or $$$/ft lb. With the Unichip, VAFC and SC it's not just the cost of the item, it's also the cost of installation and dynoruns to set them up. Total cost is also different for people since some can install products themselves (paying themselves $0/hour) while others have to pay for installation.

Yup, I never said it was cheap. But yeah... all good points made in terms of bang for the buck. I think I'll eventually go the unichip route but we'll see.

The UNICHIP can be installed in about 10 mins. It is plug and play. The V-AFC would probably cost about $100 to install and then it needs to be tuned. The UNICHIP is pre-tuned.

And as Malingator said, nitrous is a cheap bang for the buck.

Turbonator!!!!!

J/K. CT SC is really the only thing left that'll give significant gains.

If you want one PM me.

The Unichip is a computer that electronically resides between your car’s ECU and engine, releasing 100 percent of an engine’s untapped power. Sold worldwide for more than a decade, the Unichip is a tested and proven engine performance product used on the street, racetrack, and in off-road applications.

System Components

A Unichip installation consists of a Unichip computer module, a Plug-n-Play (PnP) wiring harness, and a performance map dyno-tuned for a specific vehicle & its components. The Unichip is a solid-state computer measuring the size and weight of a MP3 player, using multiple high-speed processors to control engine tuning & performance.

What is different about the UNICHIP from other "chips" is that the UNICHIP is actually pre-programmed according to the mods you have on your vehicle. Other chips just advance timing and pull fuel regardless of what mods you have and they are rarely dyno tuned. UNICHIP has provided a program to their dealers so that we can program the chip according to what modifications you have. For example I can program the module with different maps as follows:

- All Headers
- Comptech Icebox, All Headers, All Catback Exhausts
- Injen CAI, All Headers, All Catback Exhausts

There are also options for those of you witih nitrous or superchargers.

Wow that UNICHIP dyno is garbage!!! You will never see a TL with 277 bhp with only headers intake exhaust and a unichip. Man where do they get those numbers?

With mods, the important numbers on a dyno graph are the gains not the absolute numbers.

Sorry but there is no way a stock TL=S with just those mods is putting down that much HP to the wheels

Green Machine gained 10whp with the chip on his CL-P. I know the dyno #'s are high but each dyno is different and they are rating it as BHP. What is important in that dyno is the consisent HP gain throughout the entire RPM band.
