Transmission Fluid
What type of transmission fluid should I use in my 2003 acura TL type-s? I hear good things about royal purple, but a friend of mine said that it is better to get the honda specific trannny fluid. Any ideas what he would be talking about, and if not, what type should I use?

Honda ATF or Amsoil ATF.

an 03- not salvage title- so trans warranty still in effect? is that correct?
THEN
Use ONLY Honda ZR1 AutoTransFluid
Buy at honda for cheaper than acura charges for same bottle- says Honda on it!
or some import parts specialty shops carry it
about 7 bucks a qt, may have gone up with oil crisi$

Search for teh DIY threads. All the info is in there. How many you need all depends on how many drain fills you plan on doing. you will need 3.2-3.5 quarts for every drain fill. Its recomended to do 3 drian fills. Yes just go into a honda dealer and ask for honda ATF
