Switchbacks

Got my Switchback LED front turn signals from DDM tuning yesterday and they look great! I have an 03 SSM and it really looks great without that ugly orange light!

I have 6000K Fogs, 5000K Morimoto Low Beams, white LED Parking Lights, and now white LED switchbacks, the front looks clean at night with no orange an all white!

I will post pics later, but if you're on the fence, go for it! Makes your car look clean at night

You need to use the img tag for the picture you want to post.

Makes the front look much cleaner with no orange parking light or turn signal!

How many leds did you get for those and which site did you get them?. And did they plug and play or did you have to modify the hole? I've seen alot on here with their 3g TLs and switchbacks, great to see a 2g on them as well. Thats my next project, already replaced interior with led.

Any recommendations on a good pair of switchbacks to get from Amazon for my turn signals? I see many there. I need ones that are compatible with the 1157 bulb, right? Is it 1157A? Do they all need a 6 ohm resistor?

Sorry that I sound like a newbie although I've been an AZ member since 2006.

@James Thomas - these are the ones I got; completely plug and play. It's been over two months and they're still going strong. http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/11...MD-White-Amber

@ bonknhead - Honestly, I would just get the DDM ones from the link I posted. They're only $15, rather than some pair on Amazon for $45, and they work just fine for me. It is 1157.

Also, I did not get resistors, as I got an LED relay flasher, which is much simpler to do IMO
Amazon.com: Tridon EP34 Flasher: Automotive Amazon.com: Tridon EP34 Flasher: Automotive

It plugs in on the back of the driver side fuse panel, and is much easier to do than resistors. It will prevent the hyperflash. You only need one of these rather than a resistor for every light

Well here are some pics since I was too stupid to do it months ago

The parking light LED looks really blue, but it is around 6000K and doesn't look out of place in person!

CincinattiGuy: A couple of questions:

1) In in the fuse panel do you install the relay?
2) Did you clear your headlights, removing the amber reflector?

Looks terrific BTW. Thanks for the help.

Oh, and which Tridon EP34 flasher did you use? There are several on that Amazon page and when I picked the first one, it said it wouldn't fit my 2003 TL-S.

Yeah, the Tridon flasher is behind the driver side fuse panel. If you lay down looking up under the steering wheel, you'll see it. That Tridon flasher is the one that I bought and it says it doesn't fit the 03' TL, but it works just fine. You could also get this one too: http://www.autolumination.com/equalizers.htm

Actually my headlights are DEPO aftermarket, and that amber reflector is simply clear. But you could bake your stock headlights and remove that ugly amber piece and it would look the same.

Ok, so just remove the stock one and plug in the $12.40 "Tridon EP34 Flasher", right?

BTW, too much hassle to remove the bumper, take apart the stock headlights, remove the reflector and reseal. I have one brand new driver's side (accident last Oct) and the original passenger one, but they have no condensation issues so I don't want to mess with that.

Yep, that flasher will prevent the hyperflash from the LEDs.

Yeah I hear you, the only way I would ever take my headlights apart is if I was doing something serious like retrofitting projectors into it (which I am currently doing)

If you ever decide to take the headlights apart to remove the reflector, seal them up with the OCI Butyl Rubber Glue from TheRetrofitSource. That is the stuff I've been using and it's crazy good
