Pully

Ok, a pully for my 99 tl is only $20 from ssautochrome. Its the top pully on the passenger side. What does this do? Is it going to make a difference? And what makes the difference? Its only $20, easy bolt on.

Dont waste your time or money on it. It wont do anything. The only pulley that does is the crank pulley

$20 bolt on should be one clue. Unfortunately, gains aren't cheap on your acura. For anything yielding a good gain you will for sure spend > $150.

The pully is for the power steering. Im assuming its a bigger pully.

That would'nt be helpful at all. Don't buy it. Get a set (show and go) of Unorthodox Racing pullies off of the black market, or just the crank (go and no show) if you want performance gains.

And what would that achieve? Nothing. There is no benefit from it OTHER than looks.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Installing light weight Unorthodox pulleys are just more wear and tear on your engine because our Acuras/Hondas do not have harmonic balancers. The only honda with a harmonic balancer is the prelude. Hence, my decision of not buying one. Like I said, correct me if I'm wrong.

Your wrong. If it had a harmonic balancer and we removed it it would be more wear and tear. We dont have one. Our engined are internally balanced and have no need for one. You can install the pulley and have no adverse wear on the motor.

3TL- you corrected info comes from our gen2 Guru- its the facts
UR makes a well known and trusted part
Some members here are using bomz- others the 20 buck alternative.
Its your motor- if the pulley fails, shatters- ------ so buy accordingly
