Car is pullied and tuned!

I finally got the Cobra pullied and dyno tuned! Speed Inc. is the shop did the work and Bub Kurgan did the tuning!

I had a 2.76 pulley and idlers installed with colder spark plugs and a new belt and the results were....

454.02 hp and 474.68 tq!! And the car puts out 15lbs. of boost now!
I ate up a C5 Z06 like nothing on the way home!!!

how much did it cost? tuning and pullies and belts included.

P.S. that SC whine is of "panty-dropping" caliber.

So you went from 390whp to 454whp with pulleys and tune?

64whp for $1200 is a deal!

390 is what it was rated from the factory....the baseline pull was 370-ish my tuner said!

Im shocked it took you this long to do this mod.

But at least you will like your car for a bit longer now. Whats the estimate 1/4 time with this setup?

You should be able to hit the 11's with those numbers as long as you have the right tires and can manage a good launch.

BTW, just goes to show.. there ain't nothing that sounds as sweet as an American V8.

I can't afford that sound!!!

As for the Grand Cherokee...I will have one...and it will be my daily driver...and I will keep the Cobra. I just need to accept the fact the I will have a car payment again if I want both!

Frankly, I've only heard one Ferrari that sounded as good as an American V8 (in a serious machine), and it was right here in my own little town within the past year. Perhaps he had an American V8 installed in it, eh?

It's all in the ears of the beholder.

I will have to disagree with you on this one...sounds not bad, but nothing beats a turbo. For example Supra.

Disagree all you wish. To think that a 6-cylinder engine, any 6-cylinder engine, is going to sound as good as a serious American V8 is.. well.. a little strange.

Nice numbers.

Now that you're at the high end of the blower's efficiency map, it's time for a twin screw.

I have a turbo six now in my 335 that sounds great when pushed hard, but soundwise it doesn't even come close to comparing to the thrill of hearing the V8 that was in my Z28 at WOT.

Ha!

The KB 2.6H is $3500
New Fuel Injectors are $250
Single Blade Throttle Body is $300
The Boost-a-pumps are $500
A Clutch and Fly Wheel to handle over 500hp is $500
Labor to install it all would be $500-$1000

By the time its said and done, I'd need around $6K!!! I'd rather put that $6K towards a down payment on a Grand Cherokee SRT8!

Nice #s. Is Bub related to Bob "the flyin' hawaiian" Kurgan?

Is your Eaton ported? Do you have any other mods? What's your a/f like? You should be in the mid 11s making those #s.
