hey guys, im planning of buying a type s IM, TB but i went to my local acura dealer and they told me that its going to give only 2hp of changing all the parts. Isn't it suppose to give me around 10-15 hp?

 

haha they are full of shit. That's one of the reasons how the type S has more horses than the TLP.

 

i called him now and they told me its give only 2hp

 

i went to the dealer for price check the TB is 1600 dollars since my dad has 20% , it came up to 1200 dollars plus tx. cause i only told him for the tb i forgot to tell him im changine the IM maybe the TB give 2hp more.

 

don't buy a new TB, search for one used. I'm sure you can find one somewhere. The dealer is full of shit about hp ratings, don't listen to them.

im thinking if i change all this to get like 15 to 20 i could just change the hole engine with the 6 speed then its all good

 

you don't need the lower IM, they are the same on the TLP and S. If you get them extrude honed out then it may help a bit, but not really noticeable unless you are FI. They are a pain in the ass to take out and put back in too so stay away from them.
