Need Help Installing License Plate Light

Hello,

I just purchased a license plate light for my 2003 TL-S and I have no idea how to put it on. I tried to unscrew the plastic on the outside but i wasnt able to take the bulb out. Some help will be appreciated. Thanks

im not sure about the 2003 tls but pn my 99 after i took of the plastic thing, i just twisted it and it seperated.

I just switched mine too. You have to pull it out hard. I used my Gerber to take it out.
But yea, you just gotta pull it out.

Yuh I did the same thing. I don't remember it being too hard tho.

thanks everyone i got it fixed. i had to yank it out and now im missing my plastic cover. i dont know where it went !! fuck!

Ummmm Can you say pulled over instantly- since license light must be white
and possible ticket for impersonating the Law!!!!

No Blue lights allowed either!

it depends where your located at.. some states cops are hella cool..they dont even bother giving a ticket over some little things...its a waste of their time... but if they are ass hole they give a ticket for anything..like i just got a ticket for my tint in front 35%

when i did mine, i unscrewed the whole fixture and took it down. it was pretty easy.

What kind of bulb are you using now? My superwhite 12LED is bright as shit!

ive use a 4 LED wide angle wedge, really friggin bright and lights the whole plate but still lights the ground a lot

i only got 9-led super white license plate lights -_-..i was thinking about 12-led but its too noticeable..prob cops be all over my ass if i did that

i hav the 9led, its decently bright but nothing crazy, actually its really bright but alot of the light hits floor, it lights the ground up very well though. lolz

What do you mean too noticeable? Why would cops be all over your ass? It is against the law for you not to have the license plate lit up, so it being too bright wouldn't be a problem, IMO.

just a couple of screws, 4 if you take the whole thing out, either way is easy. nevertheless, the blue will FUCK you with the tickets... good luck.

since i tend to speed alot cops will be all over my ass cuz my car stands out more than any other cars..and thanks everyone for the reply i got it fixed.

Any good recommendations for where to get a white LED license plate lite?

Also, is the stock voltages enough to support it?
