Hello, everyone i just bought a 03 TL Type-S last week and I was wondering what mods or kit i can put onto it. I saw on Phrosttz0's avatar picture I really like his body kit but i was looking around the forum i couldn't find it and i even google some inspire body kit but can't find any pricing. But this is how my TL looks like right now.

check acura dealers. they would have some..

intake, headers, exhaust (ATLP) , wheels, drop.. etc etc etc.. there's a whole world out there...

JDM conversions... Inspire/Saber stuff....

 

Do you know Phrosttz0''s body kit name and price? Cause i really like it and i saw some of the ATLP exhaust I love the sound but exhaust will be the 3rd thing i wanna get Body kit FOGS!! =] rims then exhaust!

hey there congrats on the new car and welcome to the forum!

It seems like your TL has been lowered already. Correct me if I'm wrong.

And it also looks like you got some exhaust or exhaust tips, and tinted windows. Your car is already looking great!

For me, I started off with the OEM lip kit (bought from a US dealer). Then next mod was blackout headlight housing. After that I did a little JDM conversion as you can see from my avatar. Performance-wise, I only removed the intake resonator (for a more aggressive "growl" under heavy acceleration) and K&N air filter. This combo apparently can yield a few whp (2-3whp may be, not comparable to a real CAI I believe).

I bought my OEM kit, brand new, painted, for $950 shipped to Canada from the States.

Oh, I also have some yellow halogen foglights. May be you can go with HID fogs?

get the tein S techs and a rear camber kit. camber kit can wait but the s techs will drop you 2 inches and your car will sit very flush. looks almost like it came liek that from the factory not a really low car and not like a weak drop. just right in my opinion

damn i wish my tl looked like that when i bought it.. and it looks lowered already.
i believe Phrosttz0 has the oem kit, if you want that kit, the sides and rear are the same but your front lip will be different. look at iforyou's avatar.
i hope you have a good job cuz you're gonna be spending alot more cuz of acurazine!!!

for some weird reason my fogs doesn't turn on anymore i think the bulb died.

 

did you check your fuse?

 

yeah i checked the fuse and took it to my uncle's shop to have it checked and he said the bulb is dead. and I wanna go find some yellow fog lights anyone know a good brand that will last me for along time?

someone actually kept flashing at me.. ( well.. he had a reason cuz my fogs pointed a bit to high.. ) but i gave him a flash to and he stops.. lol..

i guess that guy thought i had my high on...

but on the HID fogs note... it isn't gonna blind people.. made to point towards ground. and it brights up the ground really nicely.. kinda miss having HID fogs... haha

my fender lining and the plastic undercarriage got pwned by bottoming out and it shredded away and water got on the stuff and ZAP.. no fogs...

 

oh shit so it was permanent gg? :o cheap out like me and get some from DDM Tuning xD you'll need to do some rewiring though did your ballasts get fried too? i think the ones from ddm tuning are waterproof.

 

I have some nokya yellow fogs and I got them from ebay for like $20. They aren't bright like HID's of course but I think they are alright.

 

yea.. i jus threw them away... took apart the ballast.. looked at it.. trashed it.. lol

im getting 5000k for free... O_O!!

 

tip: dont' make a list of mods that will cost more than the car.

and come out to our meets, check out the thread in the meet section (off topic forum) you can check out jjashaa's and lacviet's cars.

Seriously, check the off topic forum for Socal thread, come to the meet and see most, if not all the mods for our cars. Looks what you like, test drive if need to, then decide which mod is good for your taste.

ahhhh so after hearing about tranny dying at about 100k I decided to sell my TL for 11k i profited 1,000 =] I will look into buying a 04-08 TL now thanks guys for all your helps and tips.
