I put a hyperwhite LED on my license plate a couple months ago, here's a page with details on the lights:

http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...RG-Results.htm

I got a widefield LED that does an ok job... it lights up the entire rear plate well, but there's a noticable hot spot in the middle. Personally I'm going to be researching alternatives like maybe installing a dual LED set like you see on Lexuses so that it'll give a more even spread of light.

Don't get me wrong though, a single LED even though it has that bit of a hot spot is leaps and bounds better than the stock one, I just like everything to look as good as it possibly can.

Ah yeah, forgot you can't direct link to a specific vehicle. Here:

http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...lacementGuide/

Just select your car from that list.

As for my car, here's a pic of it... you can see what I mean when I talk about the hot spot

My LED is very similar to TequiLas. 1 isn't enough to give a nice, even look to the whole thing, but I think 2 in a Lexus-like formation would work perfectly. That way you don't even need to go as bright with the LEDs, but I must admit I kinda to like the extreme brightness

See I was originally thinking about doing a mod like this:

If you look at a picture of it though, you can see that it has a similar hot spot, although it might be a bit bigger than mine:

I'm still looking into other possibilities. The dual LED approach seems like it could work, but unless someone offers a kit for it, I wouldn't know where to begin in setting that up.

I think if u want to set it up in dual mode, u should just connect the LED's in series.

The problem with that is that it still creates a "hot spot" just like the LEDs, only it's a bit larger.

Now if you could do the same thing but use a rod that's as long as the entire plate bay, and maybe a bit dimmer, then that should provide a perfectly even glow over the whole thing and look absolutely perfect... I think...
