yep. you could bypass the coolant lines from and to the block though, but i'm not sure if winter in CT would freeze the TB without it?

you can get carb ice/ throttle plate ice anywhere in the country at any time of year~

Its not a good idea to bypass/route the 2 coolant lines- they provide a needed heat source where the air temp/humidty levels suddenly change by venturi action-
IF you were a car racer then do it for track cars
they go to the TB anyway

On your custom intake pipe- the metal pipe from the valve cover needs to go into your new pipe- its the crankcase vent and the engine will explode without it, and the various hoses all have a purpose/function.

Check out different brands and homemade unit pics- snow or deep water can be an issue

The cheap semi-cai is to remove the lower intake resonator box- same as you would to install any CAI, and that opens the 2 large holes in the bottem of the airbox.
Instant more air volume available to the engine-without restriction or worry of puddles

The lower splash guard has drains and the upper area where the air filter box is- you would have to be in water way up the doors to get it wet
At which point- as you float down the river on the tv news--the engine getting water in it is the least of your concerns!

ok, so i checked out some aftermarket intakes and they look like they have the 2 or 3 lines going into them, i guess i will just have to weld on some nipples onto my pipe for them to go on, does anyone have a close-up of the spots where the lines go to on an aftermarket intake?
