yes sir.

any way, I want give a bit of FYI for any one
interesting in this type of custom work. know what you are buying. I don't care where or who you buy it from.
here are some tips to look for.

most of the time you can see hot spot just by looking at pictures. hot spot meaning one area is brighter then other area. what you want is even light output all the way across tail light.

no close up picture is red flag that there is some thing they don't want you to see. devil is in the detail.

check for picture from difference angle. if see good picture from straight up. brightness should not dim out from side to side ,if it does that just mean led only focus on small angle result in hot spot.

Video of the tail light is even better that way you can see it when camera move from side to side the led do not lose its brightness.

I'll try to get photo and video my tail as much as possible.
so enjoy. suck that these picture and video are taken by my HTC phone. finish product will taken by good camera for better detail.

Enjoy . Phase one, First testing ever.

SEE FULL BRIGHTNESS ALL THE WAY ACROSS
Taken on sunny day. perform better than stock. camera
just can't capture the difference much.

BRAKE ON

BRAKE ON IN THE SHADE

video coming soon!!!

well it is pretty labor intensive for DIY. you have to have access to a bunch of equipment to get this done.
I'm talking some knowledge designing circuit board plus equipment to transfer your design onto blank board.

and that is just the beginning. some youtube instruction on how to make circuit are pretty much use less because I tried it
and too much work , I developed my own little trick along the way and have access to variety of equipment at work do help out a bunch.

as far as will it be for sale. this thing take a lot of time to do I don't even want to add up all the hours I put in this and try to come up with reasonable price. will have to see after I finish with every thing. I'm working on redesigning the board so the light wrap around the lense more, adding turning signal, reverse light. etc.....

after seeing this thing at night. it look much better than I expected. I just wish it show up better on camera.

any way. more update to come.

i'm been looking into doing retro fitting on the tails, as for design i have a few defferent things in mind, i've looked at few led diy.

its the same with the projector retro fit, or led gauges cluster eveyone has an idea or wants to do it, but in like 4-5 years since the first one was barely anyone has done because of it being so labor intensive.

as fo selling a product alot say they want to buy it, but from what i've seen even though there is a bit of demand there is few who are willing to pay x amount for the product. the stock oem tails are what 200-300 a set, i say pm me a diy and sell everyone else a copy of a full diy

I got set of stock for 100. 200-300 is way over price when
Depot are 120 brand new. If I decide to do DIY I'll post them on here. no diy available for now because I'm not even close to being done. as far as pricing goes if it ever happen. it will be in range of 500 plug n play.

Where do the LEDs wire into the old system? Aren't the voltages different from the filament bulbs? Do you have schematics?

Plug into stock bulbs socket. no special wiring needed.

redesign the board again, new design would be quicker to build since there are a lot of leds to be solder in. this project just got slower since my engine sounded some thing broke off and rattle around inside. looking for engine replacement for now.

This is great! I am super stoked to see the progress in this project. Could you possibly do some sequential turn signals as well? Would be sick!

Yes, sequential will be one of the feature, currently working on micro controller which I can have it blink normal or sequential plus other cool sweep mod.
