hey guys i just installed the K&N filter in my type-s...i was surprised..the car feels more powerful and my gas mileage is great...yesterday i turned off the VSA and put it in SS mode i have never left rubber like that before and then when i shifted from 1st to 2nd it spun out again i was amazeddd...my car has 48,000km i recomend this to anyone wantn the most bang for the buck.

Come on dude its a freaking air filter, u prolly gained 2whp if even that from it, why exaggerate like u gained 50whp.

 

you dont really get gains out of a filter... its more a psychological thing

 

C'mon guys...give this guy a break. It could be that his old air filter is really clogged up that's why his engine is loosing power. So when he change it to the K&Ns....he felt the big difference.

 

you will see gains from a K&N over a clean stock air filter, marginal at best maybe 1-2HP, but remove both intake resonantors(mod one of them) and you have pretty much a CAI, not a clean straight pipe, but still some damn good airflow and nice sound. A CAI doesn't give you much a HP gain to begin with unless you have headers, then maybe 6-8HP tops.

I didn't say u said you gained 50hp, its the way you over exaggerated your 1hp gain. like ur cars all outta control now from being overpowered lol. Don't need to add any more mods, already hanging with the type s. Plus, majority of my mods are cosmetic anyways, o yea and K&N stickers don't count as a mod.
You wanna talk about power, run my SE-R and see how a sentra blows off ur doors with ur K&N filter.

Eh, it just depends on how hard you look. My friend bought an SR20DET-swapped S13 from someone in Ohio and it was in great shape. His younger brother, influenced by my friend, also got an S13 (but he's doing a CA18 swap)... he found it around the Lansing area and it's in decent condition. It does have some rust here and there, but not bad for a nearly 1.5-decade old car.

Besides, if I were to do an S13 project car, I would do it right and start from the chassis.
