Just put Thermoblock Spacer kit in

Put it in last nite using the racing coolant set up. It took about a hour and a half but the overall difficulty was minor. The only problem was i had to dremel some of the icebox off so i could fit the filter in the box. After the install i took it for a test drive and i could immediatly tell a difference. The throttle response was noticebly better and seems like if anything torque was increased. From the line the AA traction rated BFGs will burn through 3k. They would not do this before. Headers and pullies are sitting in my basement waiting to be put on. Cant wait to see the grocery getter embarrass some people at the street races haha.

Good stuff.

Once the headers and pullies are on, you'll love it even more.

What is the function of this mod? What does it actually do for the car?

It prevents heat soak in the IM, thus freeing up HP.

this is an awesome mod for the money, everyone should do it! 110.00 and you also get the chance to clean your TB, IM and EGR ports out really good in the process. easy mod for the DIY'er. I felt a difference in reponse when I did this mod and also felt better low-end pull, not much but more and god knows a little difference in these cars is a big difference.

When you buy the item, the instructions are impeccable complete with pictures. No, you don't have to bypass the engine coolant.

Where do you buy this from? A site? Company? I want to purchase these myself when I get the headers, which will be pretty soon. Thanks,

my intake barely fit in the hood...i had to force the ice box back onto the throttle body becuase of the tb spacer...i need to take a dremel to the intake hose to make it fit...what do the rubber hoses going to the bottom and side of the icebox do?

Ok...question. My engine is stock right now...thinking about getting the Ice Box. If i were to get the TB spacer. I WILL have problems fitting the Icebox back into the throttle body, right? Or is it just a Type S thing, because i have a 00 TL-P. Thanks

if you want it to fit right you will need to cut off a small portion of the intake near the TB side. only 1/4" or so and it will fit perfectly. I had same problem with my AEM intake. I just cut off 1/4" and it fit perfectly.

Cool...thanks. Is it hard to cut off and what do you use to cut it?

it was easy just use a hack saw or a dremel...make sure to get all the shavings out of the tube b4 putting it back on the car

nice to hear about the difference the spacers made and the difficulty of the install, i've been curious. i would like to do the same mod to my NBP TLS but was wondering if there are any other brands of thermoblock spacers out ther besides Outlaw Engineering? if so, are there any performace differences? i couldn't find any but was curious to see if anyone knows of others that may perform better or have no fitting problems, etc. thanks.

i think the fitting problem is just a bad install job..........I've had spacer's for 6 month's and love them.As far as other brands that is a good question,I would say no based on my research.
