Inside door latch
I don't know if what I need is a called a inside door latch but my doors won't open from the outside and I inspected the inside of the door and found that the latches or rods were missing. I'd like to order these parts ASAP does anybody know what they are called. Also my front door won't unlock without the key including when engaging the unlock switch. Is that the actuator??

What do you mean its missing the rods? Are they laying in the door?

How the hell are those missing??? If it was indeed missing you will instantly notice it as the door handle should have almost zero load to it, after all if you remove the rods there is only the small return spring in the latch.
As for the unlocking mechanism it could be the actuator its a small solenoid..

You cant recall if they were there or not? Before ordering parts i would take the panel off again and look. Why waste money and time if that isnt the problem? If one is missing it may have just come unhooked.
