double tints?
I have 35% tint on right now but that is waaaayyy to light for me. I actually wanted something like 15% because 5% is too dark. I was thinking of throwing another 35% or 25% on. Does anyone know what would be good?
Thanks for the help!

Go to a reputable tint shop and ask, they deal with this stuff all day, everyday. My friend had 3 layers of 5% on his e34 bimmer, show car, but still driven in the city on rare occasions. At night 0 visibility lol.

another shade of 35% will bring you close to 15% but not a true 15%. Save the money and double tint it then to pay for removal and have it redone.
Check what brand of tint they will be using, certain brands don't have the best clarity and have a poor scratch resistant coating which may cause you to spend more money due to visibility and of course scratching it accidentally. Research your product before getting it done. most line of films will offer a 10yr to lifetime warranty but they still fade after 6months. A regular consumer will not be able to tell the difference but there are products that won't fade purple/blue but they do cost a lil more.
I believe we've been through just about every product on the market over the last 15yrs and IMO Madico tints have the best clarity and the best scratch resistant coating on the market and it won't fade for the life of your vehicle.

I had 35% on my windows and went to get them tinted 20%. Right before they started, they asked me if I wanted them on top of my 35%. I was like WTF, and had to break it down to them. "Step 1" remove old tint. "Step 2" install new tint. Save and spend the extra $$$ and get the car re tinted to the % you want...

I work in a tint shop, and I have 5% (meters at 3%).
Have them remove the tint first! or you can remove it yourself.. Then have it tinted to your liking. I wouldn't double it up at my shop because we would not be able to provide a warranty, or clear visibility.
