Aftermarket Antenna Dummy

i know some of you guys will have mixed feelings towards an antenna on the roof of our 2g's but i really think it makes the car stand out. it's just something about it that i like and i've been trying to find a dummy and i came across one the other day while browsing around.

yeah.. i should've just gotten the navi w/ onstar just for that haha.. but naw.. this is just a really unexpensive mod. all you do is peel the double sided tape backing off and stick it on.

i found two that looks almost close to the 2g tl stock onstar antenna and that's the look im going for. and those of you who are wondering.. not really a fan of the sharkfin antennas

and

input guys?

I've got a shark fin on mine and it looks pretty nice IMO but I would go with the first one that you listed rather than the other one

eh if i had to choose one id go with the first link but honestly if i were you id go for a shark fin style thats painted AM. black would look out of place. especially since youre lowered with a kit, an antenna like those in the links will destroy the smooth lines of your car.

it would be cool if you added an antenna that was functional though. idk bout you but the radio reception in my car sucks balls. these might work better?

You asked for opinions....

Sorry, not feeling it. Non-functioning antennas? It's like the guys who used to put the cell phone antennas on their car that were obviously fake.

I had a 3G TL XM antenna cover that I was going to gut and put in my aftermarket XM antenna in but never got around to it.

3G antenna "Cover" would definantly look good on our 2nd gens, I've even seen some TL's with 5 series shark fins and it still looked clean!

stick a deer whistle up there and incorporate it into a shark fin fake antenna then, it might serve a purpose, if you reside near that type of wildlife

X2- Makes no sense going to the trouble & expense to put on something that doesn't function. Double sided tape- how long you thing that will last on the roof? Not a "mod"-

Is that an oxymoron or just redundant?
