How many hours of labour? And will you be modifying the diff? Unless the TL and 240 have the exact same wheelbase and front and rear tracks, you'll probably have to do something to the diff to avoid excessive tire wear, no?
How are you going to fit the driveshaft and exhaust in a tunnel designed to fit just the exhaust? Where will the transmission go (assuming you're mounting longitudinally)? Interior would be affected quite a bit.
I wouldn't say "little modifications" are all that's needed to fit a completely foreign longitudinal engine in a bay designed for a transverse mounted engine.
Probably doesn't belong in this thread, but it's not like it was going anywhere, anyways

It's possible. You'd be surprised. Currently working on a '00 TL-P shell.
RWD conversion consisting of the following:
1UZ motor (yes, the v8); 5-speed drive train, complete 240 rear end w/suspension, axles, wheels, spindles, etc. There's enough room to do everything. After I'm finished gathering all of the parts, I'll make a new thread soon. Be on the look out for it.
For a JZ swap, the motor's not much bigger than the 1uz, and the 1uz fits easily with little modifications. The firewall would have to be modified as well as removal of the blower unit and relocating a bunch of other things, but over all?... The interior's not affected much. As for the rear, the tank would have to be relocated and the suspension drawn up and mapped. Once again, I'll start going through it as time goes on.
P.S. For those that say "who's this guy with his only posts?!" Here's my answer. I usually lurk, just to see what goes on but only post only when needed.
That is all.

Then you have to worry about new suspensions, subframes, etc etc etc. Anyone good with fabricating can POSSIBLY do it for 10k, but without fabricating skills, its going to cost money.
Lastly, everyone going 1uz now after the 2jz swap became really "common," just like the sr20 did.

If you have the cash, this project is doable. Great novelty factor and will get you a lot of attention at the car shows.
However, Viper-fast, four door, luxury rear wheel drive sedan under $20,000 already exists. It is called 2003-2006 E55 AMG (FYI stock they hit low 12s). Add $2,500 for Eurocharged software and pulley, now you have mid 11 second RWD car that looks complete stock.
