Your question falls short, Are you implying to Get the 08 TLs CAMs and switching into our 2G?

I would rather get the Racing CAMs for our 2G if you Want an "Upgrade".

You can use 08 tl s cams on our car but its not a direct fit. you have to machine a spacer to make it fit and I have no idea what the specs are. If this is what your asking...

What "racing" cams?

2 companies will regrind the oem ones and make them a little larger than stock BUT you have to send yours in or pay for a set of cores. Also the 3rd gens are hollow and lighter, thats why they are better than ours.

As for if they will work, Yes, they will work BUT like stated above, a set of shims needs to be made to make them work. The person that has gotten them to work for other cars wont say how big or where they go, so if you attempted this you would be on your own.

Yeah that's exactly it. I believe young501 is going to be using them on his 3.5 build and he knows the measurements and said he could get another set produced for people

Even if someone had spacers that will work. IMO you need to shim the cam sensors away from the cam gear to clear.

I'm just guessing

Isnt that what part of the spacer is for, to push the cam gear out far enough? IF one had to shim the sensors, that is very simple to do.

Bisimoto makes racing cams for the J series. Contact them if you are serious about it. It will cost you quite a bit though.

i would say cams should be the last thing you do to the engine. first you need to improve exhaust flow and intake flow. looks like you got most of the exhaust done so all you need are headers. i got you covered, just need to get my headers off my car.

for intake flow, the SRI will do a tiny bit but you need to upgrade the TB, IM, and lower runners. i got you covered on the lower runners.

let me know if you need any other parts

I agree for te price to get cams and have them installed you could get headers, lightweight pulley, and a couple of other things and that would be more beneficial than just doing cams

I agree. Get headers and a better intake and intake manifold. You need to get other parts to help the engine breath better before cams.

And as for your piggyback question. There really isn't one that works. You would need a full standalone to tune for rhetoric mods.

well i got headers there nutting crazy a cheep racing band and the only reason i got that was because i was reading on here and people saying headers are a hit and miss for our cars i didint put them on because when i got the exhaust done the stupid shop cut the bracket to bolt on the headers why idk and i was upset when they ctry to charge me 250 to put the new ones on when they did that i didint ask them to do that but it kinda my fault should have payed more attention but they said if i can get some one to put the headers on and they well wield the new ones on so i just have to wait for my uncle to put the new set on ...... and for 03tLsNBP thanks for the parts i was looking into the t.b and i.m i most likely well do them but i got so much stuff i have to do i have to put on the new oem mounts on headers on plus get my tires for my rims the lugs and i plane on getting my car painted hopefully this summer so gotta start saveing up after i get the paint job then i go for the i.m and the t.b and ohh i choose to get the short ram just because i was to pussy to get the cold air lol i didint want to risk any h2o getting in there i know they have shields and what not just dont trust them but once again thanks for the offers let me know if it a headache getting off the headers thanks every one

These are the lower runners I had mine ported out and they are powder coated black. It's called several things lower runners, lower manifold, and I believe fuel injector bases it goes right under the intake manifold

Exhaust does very little for hp (until fully modded). Your single biggest hp gainer is headers. You need to work on getting them on As for buying cheap because you read on here they are hit and miss doesnt mean buy the cheapest ones you can. The ones that were hit and miss were the SS headers with ONE flex joint.
