Big Brake Kit

woah! cool, we have a parts and performance section. WOOOOOO

so i was always interested in this topic of the BBK's.

i have crossdrilled aftermarket rotors and aftermarket pads in, but i dont really feel that super car stopping action going on liek i do on the newer honda's and nissan's.

if i want that feeling, would i need to:
A) Bleed Brake Fluid
B) SS Brakelines
C) just go for the whole brake kit?

i heard just bleeding the brake fuild and getting SS brakelines would definitly help and not spend a whole damn G on a BBK.. since its mostly cosmetic? is this true?

do A and B first, then try C

BBK is not cosmetic, it really makes a difference when u go to the track, otherwise it is just cosmetic

woahh!! that looks beautiful man! love that rim, rim color, caliper color, and body paint color combo you got going there!

this makes me feel like i need to save up for a real bbk instead of getting just the crossdrills and painting the calipers.. hmmmMmmMm. tempting.

Calipers are what provide the actual stopping force. Rotors and pads help, but it comes down to the calipers. If you want the feel of throwing an anchor out the back of the car, then you need to upgrade the calipers.

full system bleed, and SS lines will help that out too. getting a larger brake booster may help (dont ask where to get one. you would have to start doing your math on that to see which is right)

I was thinking about getting a BBK but I was a little concerned about it. What would I have to do when I put my winter tires back on?

depends on what size the BBK u r putting on

if u put a 12" rotor and a smaller caliper it will fit 16" wheels

but if u do my setup with 13" rotor and big calipers u will need 17"

if u do brembos you will need 18"
