zaino

well i have used zaino myself, numerous coats, and lets just say that i am now a believer!!
by far the best polish i have ever used, so easy to work with, putting it on is a breeze and taking it off is even easier, and it doesn't leave any white powder residue anywhere, it drys clear, i have so many coats on there that all i have to do is hose down my car and all the dirt runs right off of it, to answer your questions, i do follow there tips to a point, and i have never used there clay bar, because my car is still new, clay bar is only used if you have a older car that has oxydation on it.

I was once told that I can use clay bar to remove stuff that doesn't come off after washing and even using paint cleaners. I got those yellow spots all over my roof, trunk and rear bumper. They look like railroad rust. So far, nothing is able to remove them. Hmmm, maybe I will post pics of those little suckers soon....

Thumbs up

I'm also a Zaino believer now. And I have followed Sal's tips.

I washed (w/ Dawn), clayed, washed, Z1, Z5, my wife's Honda a couple weeks ago. Looked great. Put on the third application of Z5 this weekend. It went on like butter and came off like a breeze. Looks really great. Next will be a coat of Z2.

Also this weekend, I put a second coat of Z2 on the TL-S. I didn't clay or Dawn wash before the first coat (I'd only had the car for three days), just wash, Z1 and Z2. This 2nd coat of Z2 went on much smoother and easier, and again, came off like a breeze. It looks awesome! Very deep "wet" look. Seems to bring out the underlying blue "glow" in the NBP. I like this stuff.

I've used many different waxes/polishes in my day, including an array of Meguiar's and Eagle One products, both of which are perfectly fine. For ease (once you do the initial prep) and results, though, this Zaino stuff takes the cake.

From www.zainobros.com

"I recommend you use my car wash (Z-7) as a lubricant for the ClayBar. Just make sure to keep the surface area lubricated while using the ClayBar. Use 1/2 capful of Z-7 Car Wash to 12 ounces of water. I use a spray bottle for the mix. Shake it up and spray the area to be Clayed. Just make sure to keep the surface area lubricated while using the ClayBar."

I used this method and it works very well.

Sure did. It did a nice job on the wife's black Honda. It's not perfect, but I wasn't expecting her paint to become magically restored to flawless condition. She never washes her car, gets rid of bird crap, etc. The only exterior maintenance it gets is from me, and it's hard to keep up with two vehicles (especially now that I'm obsessed with detailing the TL-S ).

You're welcome to try some of my Z5. Are we having this meet next Saturday or not? If so, I'll bring it.

Don't know about faxing, I mailed mine, with a personal check. Products arrived on my doorstep in KC 8 days later.
Good service, good product.
