Question Would I have embarassed myself?

On my way home from work today a TL Type S pulled within what appeared to be an inch of my rear bumper. There he remained for about 1/3 of a mile. When he saw that I would not respond, he pulled over to the right lane and flew by. How bad would I have been embarassed myself if I had down shifted to maybe third and gave him a try? Has anyone with Mods tried to run a stock Type S? Could I have held him off?

since i've embarassed myself a few times...let me tell u...

I think you would stand a small chance with against him..depending on if he had passengers or not..probably not. And you also have Cai, plugs and pulleys...which u could give him a good run..so it's 50/50 really...if he's totally stock that is.

I ran with TypeSDragon from a redlight from 0-60 and he beat me by about a foot...so u could do pretty well. I was stock and had a heavy stereo system in the trunk. And it also depends on the driver as well...

I think you would have certainly lost but not by much. When I had H/I/E/VAFC, I beat TypeS's on a regular basis but not by much...

Wink Would I have embarassed myself?

I have an aquaintance here at work who owns a Type S with no Mods. I'll give him a shot and see how it goes...I can't believe it will be much of a difference in performance since my car has Mod and less curb weight.....I'll let you know.

My post would have been....

"I raced a Type-S today, and guess what?"

Question Would I have embarassed myself?

Okay NSX4dr what happened?

Does the H/P radiator cap make a difference in performance? I recently read an article written by a Mugen rep. stating that one of the best ways to get extra power out of Acuras/Hondas is to do all you can to keep the engine cool. He suggesting replacing the stock thermostat and radiator cap for better performance. Does it work? I see that you have replaced your radiator cap.

Unless my wife was driving the TL-S, you wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell. Sux but true.
