i took my car to RPM (tuner place on long island)

to get my camber kits and strut bar installed. (ingalls + tanabe)

i went and picked it up.

im not even gonna tell you what they charged me. (rediculous)

As i left, the car was bouncing BADLY on the right side.

I call them as I am driving and they are kind of stunned. (should have taken it back)

From there he tells me to adjust the damper of my

coilover (tein ss-p) clockwise a few times when i get home. I dont know

what im doing, so i tell them im dissapointed and that ill

call them back. He calls me back and says he could have

messed with the damper because i asked him to put

my EDFC in, but he said it was the wrong application.

So now its sunday, my day off and i dont know where to

start. i never adjusted the TEINs prior to making the

appointment with these guys.

And now i ride like shit...

im not even driving the car at all, its that bad.

Tomorrow is monday, im gonna have the car towed there

and show up at the place and demand a sit-down.

Im completely embarassed because these guys claim to be so professional.

People whom are local have recommended this shop.

I was impressed walking in, but walking out... gosh, how could i have even considered

bringing my car here knowing they would NOT handle this job professionaly.

How can you charge someone at such a high price and not even say

BRING THE CAR BACK, after i call and say that i am not satisfied and ACTUALLY

DISSAPOINTED...

any one have any other suggestions for me so that when i show up tomorrow and

surprise this fucker i could have more to say?

the guy said on the phone that it didnt fit.

he said that it was not a wide enough hex measurement.

now it rides really stiff on the driver side ( the obvious side that he tested )

and its normal on the passenger side, thus creating a bouncing passenger of my CL.

I'm really dissapointed, luckily i have free towing with AAA.

I'm trying to act as mature as possible when I get there.

This is pretty fucking rediculous. I'm going to stress the fact that he didnt

ask me to come back to fix it.

I really hope my shock isnt damaged because of this,

I opened the hood this morning and I didnt even know where to start,

although this is my car, i feel that it is the tuner shops responsibility because

the car was worse then when i had braught it in.

that is unacceptable by them, but for a quick fix, open you hood, and on the top of your strut im not sure if tein does it or not, but look for a knob that adjusts the dampening, try turning it counter clockwise to make it softer, thats how my d2's are, but they might be different. i bet what your problem is when they put the camber kit on was that your control arm is hitting your fender, thats what happened when i put mine on, it was sooo bouncy, when i first got in the car it bounced. look under the car and see if that is it too

yeah man, you gotta know what shit is on your car. SHops will take you for a ride if you dont know what everything does or how it works...since they can do pretty much whatever they want and you would never know if there "good" . I always mark my own parts, and do a tear down after shit gets installed ( i normaly install everything myself so not too often ) but for replacement parts etc..

just turn both the fronts all the way clockwise to make them stiff as hell, then turn them back counter clockwise the same number of clicks. you should be good to go then.

these people don't care unless it's their family of friends. Anyone else gets half ass work.

Didn't they quote you a price before you dropped the car off?

thats f'd up about your tein ss's. just remember the ss's are only 16 levels of dampining. if they don't know what level they set in on when they installed them your screwed. the teins don't have any markings on the stem 1,2,3 etc... to know what the setting its on. it's all based on clicks.

That's dumb. So you can't turn it all the way to one direction and it stops???
