I had very good luck from purchasing a kit on ebay. I just installed it Monday night, I chose brushed aluminum look, however I am pretty certain that they have a wood kit as well. Check out the pics and see if you like.

if you want a wood dash kit, make sure you find one that say "match" else it will turn out more orange.

I got a wood dash (Burlwood) a while back and its a perfect match --- check the link in my signature.

The kit was like 180 (forgot how many pieces).

The place is called Joshua Tree Wood Trim

Damn! They went up in price!

You can also try these guys http://www.exoticwooddash.com/ . They are a lot cheaper....I actually forgot where I bought my kit from!!!! :shit:

Either way, if it doesn't match I'm sure they'll let you return it.

Here you might find this info that I posted up on the other site very useful. When I was in the market for the wood dash kits, not too many helpful info, so I did a write up on this site and the other site for other members, but for some reason, I can't find my thread on this site.

However I found my write up on the other thread so I cut and pasted it here it is:

I was doing so much research on this before I bought mine..and in my opinion this is the best way to do it:

Buy the kit from Exotic Wood Dash and order the AC Vent Pieces from this site or call Ray Laks.

The reason why I tell you to order the AC vents on top of the kit is because with that kit you buy from Exotic, they give you an AC vent trim but its gay!! Its only a thin strip around the AC vents and not like the OEM one from Acura where it is actually a molded piece, which makes the world of a difference. It looks more custom. I've attached some pictures so take a look and see.

Now ... the reason why I tell you to order from Exotic Wood Dash is cuz... there are only three manufacturers that make our kit but there are many distributors selling it for different prices. I've done extensive research on it...and to confirm what Im saying... match up the part numbers. Most website you go to.. you'll either find the kit to be listed as WD-269 or ACR-11B.. which was model numbers for a 2003 TYPE S w/ NAV OEM Black Marble Kit. It might be slightly different for yours. Hence.. most of the websites will also have the same layout diagrams, since its the same kit.

Exotic Wood Dash uses B&I trim and in my opinion its the best match. If you visit the other forum..A-TL... they sell the same kit WD-269 for 220+shipping... where as .. Exotci sells it for 180+free shipping. Same exact kit!! So just match up the numbers whatever you do. Some people order a kit from like NYC Dashes and find that they dont like the match..so they return it..and then ordre a kit from another company for more money..but when they get it..its the same dam kit.. since the distributor is buying and shipping from the same manufacturer..so dont be fooled just because prices are different.. that your getting different quality.

Look at the pics and decide for urself... like I said.. I did extensive research on this..and unfortunately no one was willing or able to help me when I did it... so I know how frustrating it was.. hence.. just trying to make ur life a little easier. Im sure you'll agree with my suggestion.

These are not pics of my car..but another members and he used the Exotic Wood Dash ones too.. and u can see the match is nice..and he also used the OEM Vent pieces like I did and am suggesting you to do as well.

This is a pic of the molded AC Vent. Notice how its molded.

Now this is a pic of the one that comes in the kit with all kits... bad angle..but if you look closely... u'll see the AC vent only has a thing strip of wood around it..making it not look as good as the OEM molded one. Also bad match... defenitely not the one manufactured from B&I trim or distributed by Exotic Wood Dash.

This pic is in the Burlwood color and u can see the thin strip a little better... thas why Im attaching it. Hope all this info helped and narrowed down ur decision. Also Malayalee Kings Car.

Well it doesnt matter where you buy it from, just make sure like I said in the write up, that the kit is made by B&I Trim, they are the best. Remember, there are only couple of people that make these kits but a whole lot of distributors. So you can pay more money for the same exact kit that another distributor will be selling less for.

i personally like the brushed aluminum kits but i already have the burlwood trim in my car, the stock wood pieces, so that is why im just sticking with that, the molded vent pieces look alot nicer compared to those little rings u get with most kits, i think ill buy the oem match for my burlwood trim and pick up the molded pieces from the dealer, if anybody comes accross any deals on ebay please let me know, thanks!

Wow it does have a few more pieces...just check their return policy...anyone with a good return policy is bound to be good peoples.

BTW, does anyone know if the accents for the vents offered on acura-tl.com are factory match burlwood?

Sometimes it looks lighter...

Trust me when I say this guys, I've done a lot of research, just buy it from www.exoticwooddash.com. Their kits are made by B&I Trim. The extra pieces in this kit, will be very tacky if you put it all on, cuz it will be overkill. You will realize this once you get the kit and put them on, stuff like:

1. Glove Box Plate
2. Sunglass Holder
3. Steering Wheel Trim

Now, if you guys still want to get the kit from Veneers, I would suggest just getting it from Ebay, from this link. Its the same exact kit, for cheaper.

Ebay Wood Dash

How do I know that its the same you might ask? Well match up the model numbers on the diagr.am. The one on Veneers, is ACR-11A and the one on ebay is ACR-12A ACR refers to the maker of the kit, and from experience they dont really make good matching kits. I dont know who the maker of the kit is, but its not B&I trim. B&I Trim's diagrams goes something like this: WD-260.

And as far as the return policy is concerned. Many say you can return but in small print there will be a re-stocking fee of sometimes even 20%!! And like I suspected, VENEER charges 15%!!

Here is the link: VENEERS RETURN POLICY

Hope all this helps.

What about the long trim piece's that run up both sides of the console? I have'nt seen any of those in any aftermarket kit's.
