Just get it done. Tints are a LIFESAVER in the summer heat. That and a dash guard

yeah i know what you mean. It seems to be a very very very VERY little darker when you roll up your windows as compared to looking out with the windows down.

I was about to get my windows tinted yesterday. I wanted 35 back; 50 front to be safe because 70 is NYC legal limit for front and back so I didn't wanna risk it. And I have Jersey plates and Jersey is no limit in back and can't have anything in front. So either way I'm screwed. But I didn't do it because I didn't wanna risk getting 4 tint tickets.

i think Tom is right, i'm pretty sure it's somewhere near 95-97% factory tint in the windows. it's harldy noticeable but you can see it on a cool, humid day when the windows fog up. they're that slight green color

this thread could be helpful: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/rating-factory-window-tint-oem-551829/
it is from the 3G side the the stock numbers will obviously be different

Any perceived factory 'tint' is in the glass itself...not a film tint on the surface of the glass like aftermarket tints.

The windows come slightly, and I do mean slightly, tinted. My back windows have 20% tint and the front doors have 35%. My interior's black so that makes them look even darker.

For future reference, the word is tint, not tints!!

That's like saying feets instead of feet.

Well at least you acknowledge that it's wrong. Admitting it to yourself is the first step towards rehabilitation.

LOL When I referred to "aftermarket tints", I meant there are several types available (20%, 30%, etc.), so plural of tint. Would a salesman say, "We have several tint to choose from," or "We have several tints to choose from."?

they would say "we have several different levels/types of tint to choose from"

you can say "matt tints windows" <--- verb
when describing window tint.. its always tint, singular, or plural.....

so to answer your question, no the salesman would not word it that way.

I'm not going to die on this hill of proper usage of 'tint', but if we're going to talk grammar and usage, then I could start with your above sentence.
"Its" should be "It's" in this case.
"sentance" is spelled wrong.
I think you meant "word" instead of "work".

Well, ladies, mop it up and lets move on.

I dug out the window sticker from the car's info. My 2000 TL says, under exterior features,
"Heat-Rejecting Green-Tinted Glass". And it blocks the UV fairly well.
Personally, I'd think about resale value before plastering dark tint on my car.

how much resale value does a 2000 TL have left?

I know mine is basically worthless. but I love it :-)
