Wind noise on Driver's side
I live in the Dallas area (which is very windy). However, I have been noticing wind noise on the driver's side latel (even when there is litle wind). It seems to happen mostly when we are going over 60. Has anyone else experienced similar problems?
Should I complain to the dealership?

I explained the "wind noise" to my dealer when I took it in to get the window recall and my oil change. It sounds like it's coming through the side of the passenger door, even at low speeds. Actually, I was sitting at a red light when I heard a "wind rushing noise" (that's the best way to explain it). The tech checked the door seals and said that about all he could do was lube the weatherstrip. That seemed to help!

Not a Blowhole
Wind noise at idle would have to be a major leak cuasing the high pressure air inside the car to move at speed to the low pressure outside. That is not too likely without a visible gap - try shooting water (air is a liquid, right) from the outside along the seals - if no water enters the car, you have no leak, and it just may be a perceptiual issue or mistaking one sound for another.
Lubing the weatherseal is unlikely to ave done anything unless the seal was sticking somehow to the door jamb - unlikely in a new car.

Yeah, I remember test driving a Type-S and heard a significant amount of wind noise. But I recently talked with a car dealer (non-Acura and more trustworthy) and he said that he's never heard of a wind noise problem. Do you think this is only in some Type-S's due to a manufacturing problem?

I have not noticed any more wind noise than can be expected, but I do notice that there is more tire noise than I expected.

Kevs: No - if anything, the S mirrors are more wind resistant and should be quieter. Plus, they are all made on the same line - there is absolutely no variation in the design of the doors, seals, etc.

I have the wind noise problem on my driver's door. It seems to be coming from the window seal. The car I test drove was quiet as a mouse and didn't have this problem. I had a similar problem previously with my '93 Accord 2-door. It took them a couple of tries to get it right, but they ended up replacing the seal - problem solved.
When I take the car in for the window recall and my first oil change, I'll have them check it.

Hey, how about that rain noise? Have you guys experience the rain making a real loud "crackling" noise? Seems like it is coming from the driver side door.
