Has anyone tried to see if the lower front lip spoiler for the Type S will work on a '99-'01 TL? I think it would look awesome if somehow it fit. What do you guys think?

to be honest if it does fit that would be sweet, hummm i have a new idea to try to make work out

 

I think it would be awesome on the TL with the TL-S lip. I had to a chance take a closer look at the lip, but I could not really compare them side by side..

The difference is that the TL-S has an opening at the top so it is shaped like a elongated "U". The TL lip is just flat.

Our TL front bumper is closed on the front bottom so this may make it hard to fit on. But if you are willing to maybe do some drilling.. it may work..

I want to try it. Who's TL-S front lip can I measure?? edgalang?? Can I check it out??

That TL-S lip is schweet! More aggresive looking than ours.

Wow the Type-S front has really grown on me. I actually really like it now.

 

I've parked my TL next to a TL-S. Not going to work.

Actually it looks like it might -- except in the center where the 01's/00's/99's have a continuing part of the bumper, that doesn't, the lip on the S is the continuing part... so u'd have a small gap like

 

I remember Snook posting earlier that the sides and rear are identical to the 99-01's but the front will not fit.

It doesn't work..

closer confirmed this.. he just put on his kit for his TL-S. The front lip is made to fit into the existing lower vent holes under the fog lights..

since we don't have them.. it definately won't fit.
