Higher compression is going to require so really thoughtful tuning. Timing will need altered A LOT and fuel delivery is going to become very important as well.

im sorry i love the TL but wtf it's not a race car!!! Sticker price is what 35,000 with navi on the 04 and the 03 were going for about 33? ? ? well y don't u get ur self a car with balls and put 4 grand into that? ? my dad picked up a vette with 6,800 miles and 9 months old for under 34,000 it's bone stock and i haven't lost to 1 TL haha and has warrenty running under a 14 sec. quater mile!! i put rims, drop, OEM kit, system and H.I.D fog lights on my TL. . im done with it. . might do brakes for looks. . but now im going to moved on the corvette and add 30 RWHP for $800 (and if you want to get crazy you can spray a 150 on the motor and be just fine)

Im pretty sure everyone on here knows the TL isnt a race car. They just want to make their car their own, how they want it - just like you. Some people think its fun to toy with it and try to make it faster, so they dont get blown away on the highway.

lol blown away on the highway. . . someone tell me what they do to make it pull hard still after about 115 or so cause i feel like im at 40 mph in 5 gear and stepping on it going no where. . . and thats fine but i mean for the money. . isn't it the smarter choice ? ? ? ? just my .02 cents no bashing everyone just saying how i feel (it would be nice to be the quickest but there will always be someone out there that is faster then u!!!

Yes exactly... there will always be someone out there faster than you... including your dad's used vette.

Oh and take a ride in my car beyond 115 MPH, it'll only take me 14 seconds or so to get you there.

The TLS is a great car for what it was designed to do. I would consider it quite nicely endowed in the power department stock and with simple IHE (or even just IH) it responds quite nicely. I honestly don't think its worth ruining such a pleasant driving experience for a few more 10th's of a second.

Of course its not meant to be a race car, but that doesn't mean it can't be a fast car. And why not invest in a faster car instead of a TL you ask? I ask why not work with what you enjoy and have at the moment?

Of course it might be easier and cheaper to begin with a better platform, but hey, if you love modding the TL and experimenting with is and try to make it faster than a vette, then by all means, more power to you. And struggling and working hard to mod your car gives you that sense of pride and joy. Everyone remember the first mod you did to your TL and the first semi-quick and respectable vehicle you dusted? Ahhhh the memories!

oh yea, and of course this takes a lot of tuning. Everytime you pull such a drastic mod, tuning is always a must. Oh yea before I forget, where did you buy your s/c? I am getting one soon and wanna know where I can get the best price and customer service.
