I believe it's printed into the rear window.

That is kind of a funny question, someone should be reading their brochure more often these days!

I just hope that you didn't think they would beam those radio stations through your brain and into your car.

Try shifting your head to the right and the left and you should get better reception too.

:-)

CALI, you are a good sport my friend and this forum is one of the nicest around and very helpful. Just enjoy that you don't have someone messing with your antenna and cutting down on your aerodynamics. Most makers these days are doing the same thing by imprinting the antenna on the rear window. Amazing!

Try extending both of you arms (while not driving, obviously) too.

Amazing as far as 1970's technology goes. My parents' 1976 Chevy Kingswood wagon had this feature (as did many GM and Chrysler cars of the time). Of course, theirs was embedded in the windshield, and in the rain every time the wipers passed over the wires (they ran vertically up and down the center of the windshield) you'd hear this "zzzpp zzzpp" on the radio. Ahh, the good old days...

Not that old. I've seen vertical antennas imprinted in the windshields on modern minivans. That's just cheap (don't have to run a lead to the rear window from the console) in my opinion.

Question Rear defroster?

On a rental car I had once that had the antenna in the rear window, whenever you turned the rear defroster on the reception was all staticky. Does this happen with the TL? I don't listen to the radio very much anyway, but I'm curious if the technology has improved since then.

Some of us were not so fortunate to get a brochure! That's a first for me....to purchase a car without drooling over the brochure for about a month or two. I'm hoping that when I take my car in for service, later this month, that they'll have a brochure for me.

BTW, I had to guess that the antenna was built into the window....but it was just that ..... a guess.

I don't look forward to the day when I have to replace either my front or rear window. That'll be expensive...

Well maybe not with insurance.. but what a hassle...
