So..i was going home after a nice night at about 12 midnite, when a 80k jaguar( i believe the xj8 edition) comes up and starts screwing around wanting a race etc etc, i wasnt in the mood so i jus gave him a little 0-60 action, surprisingly i actually beat him. Those cars must be way too heavy. Anyways, he gets pissed that he loses and just blows past at like 90 trying to act all cool and stuff. So I just say watever and slow down, before i know it, i see him taking a turn at 95 or whatever and then he hops the curb, right into a cement Pilliar and flips over, completly crushing his car. I got out to help him and amazingly he was ok. Its amazing how stupid some people can be and not know what their car can do. Taking a turn at 95 cuz you lost a race and not knowing your car and bam, your screwed. I feel sorry for the guy, b/c that car is worth ZERO now.

Yea, an XJ8 with a 4.2L V8 weighs 3,766lbs. with 294hp and 303lb/ft. of torque. But 0-60 is a longer 7.5sec. and top speed is only 121mph. They do have terrific brakes though 62.14mph to 0 in only 118ft.

Unless he had an XJR with 390hp.....

We had a couple half assed modded civics doing that in Toronto a few months back, one guy died and I think his passenger too, slid sideways into a pole trying to take a long turn..... Relax, Jaguar does have a vehicle called the XJ8 Super V8 in addition to the XJR, the Super V8 is a longer wheel based vehicle version of the existing XJ....(but it is for the 2005 models)
