Welcome Moody park !!!

Sounds like ya got a good head start for the more popular mods.
Check out the "Performance Parts and Mods" sub-forum to get some more ideas. The "Black Market" has used parts and also our site's sponsor vendors can help minimize costs.

Check out the "DIY" sticky for common problems and fixes. Ya wanna make sure that the tranny, t-belt servicing, and basic PM is up to date before spending big bucks on mods. Everything that ya need to know has been covered on this site. Simply searching the forum will often give ya all the info desired on our TL's.

Good luck and happy reading !!!

Welcome Moody park!

How many miles on your car. 3600.00 sounds like a great deal.

A couple of easy DIY`s if they haven`t been done already to keep your engine in tip top shape.
~Spark Plugs (NGK Iridium)
~Clean the Throttle body and lube the springs and throttle body plate hinges.
~Clean the EGR ports and EGR valve.
~Clean the IACV valve.
~Replace the PCV valve.
~Check and/or replace all fluids. (radiator, brake, tranny, oil and power steering).
~Check the condition of your battery and the pos. and neg. cables for fraying.
~Check and/or replace the cabin filter.
~Check the brakes and rotors. Replace with a quality after market set if needed.

Note: You can probably get all the cleaning done and spark plugs for under a hundred dollars. A few of these little things should get you started on keeping up the maintenance of your TL.

Enjoy Your Ride!

They are not oem. The Iridiums are half the price and work just as good if not better than the recommended OEM.

The same one as the TL-S. They are the exact same.

You don't need the tool to adjust the damping on the coils, its just a hex key. You can trun it with your hand, turn it to the right to stiffen it up and to the left to lossen it.

The fronts are easy, just pop the hood and look at the strut mount, you'll see the silver tip you can turn on top. There might be a little black rubber you have to remove.

The rear is a bit harder. You have to remove the back seat. Just pop up the bottom part of the seat and unbolt the back part of the seat. Pop the back part out, raise the liner a bit and you'll see the same thing as the front. It's 16 level adjustable iirc so just click away to the setting you like.

A bit of advice, ride around for a day or two if you can w/o the back seat in so you can dial in the damping you want w/o having to remove the seat each time.
