What do u all think???...

I have a 2001 TL with all the toys on it...but the lease on the car is about to end in about a year. Currently the dealer has the last DEMO 2003 TYPE-S Black on Black Navi with Free On-Star for a year. Spoke to my sales guy that sound me my original car and most of my friends...and he was telling me if I'm serious of making the switch they might come down close to cost on the car since they want to get rid of it.

I love the car and stepping up to a TYPE-S would be nice + with NAVI. Car has under 5000 MILES just thining if I should wait to ride out the lease and get into a 2005 new TL but I know that I won't be able to afford it with NAVI

OR

Trade in the lease now for this NAVI Black on Black Type S

Let me here from you guys on what you think overall ???

Close to cost on the 2003 cuz they wanna get rid of it!!

Ok first off, dont let hmi play you with that line. He is desperate to get rid of the car!! Cost or invoice won't cut it, he needs to sell it for below invoice!!! Right now they have a 1500 dollar cash back incentive for every car they sell, so weather he sells it for cost or just under cost he will get 1500 dollars... and plus the car being a demo model, he has to go way beloowwww... so dont let him trick y ou!!

I got my brand new 03TYPES w/navi, for 31,010 back in July. My girl just bought her 03TLP w/navi, for 26,300. Use those numbers as a guide, and check Edmunds. I know ur leasing, but the lease price is based off the selling price of the car, so its still important that u negotiate the selling price of the car. Hope this helps.

Good Luck

Indeed !!
I picked up my '03 w/o nav (doh ! ) in Nov of '02 w/ factory spoiler, splash guards and moonroof thingy for like 29 and change. Probably could've shaved a little more off looking back on it.

ya if the car had a few miles on it them invoice minus 1500-2000 would be good so start there. being a demo id say even lower.

Do you know what they do to DEMO cars? Hint: how most of us drive a rental?

Just came back from LUNCH and decided to swing by the dealer. Strichtly went to discuss price. He mentioned 27 even... told him I'll will think about it.

I like the car just after ending a LEASE I was hoping to finance my next ride. The monthlies will be a little to much overall if finance so leasing would be my best option.

Currently paying 410 a month, so I want to avoid paying a cent over and with the lease I know is how I would be able to make that happen.

I also mentioned that the most I will give out of pocket will be 500.

Plan on swinging by after the gym to see how the numbers play out...

Be careful. We all know how we have treated dealership demo's before! You may or may not develope some problems after awhile. Just make sure you have all of your ducks in a row before you sign anything. It's still a great car! Just My $.02.

Don't wait for a 2005 TL - if its anything like the 2004s you'll end up with one ugly car. I'd say get the 2003, unless the fact that it was a demo car puts you off.

I smell a war getting ready to break out between the 2nd and 3rd Gens. :p

I value your opinion, VipVop. All-in-all, they are all great cars.

Demos! I say B.S. to those knocking them! I got my '03 TLS W/NAV in April 03. It had 4000k on odometer. I've put another 13K on it & it drives and handles as well as my'99 BMW 740IL! And no a minute's trouble w/it!

Come back when you got more miles. Anything under factory warranty doesn't count.

It's a HONDA!!! That engine will run forever. If it only has 5k on it. it's barely broken in. I say for $27k, you are getting a pretty good deal on a S with navi.

You are right, but I don't think the engines have been the primary problems with the latter year TL's...it's been the trannies! Seeing as how it was a demo car for the customers to drive (and beat up), you just have to keep everything in perspective.

Not everyone pampers and respects the TL like we do here! That said, if anything happens, it will be warranted. Have fun, and go get that car!
