there are some excellent slightly abrasive products that work well- napa auto parts has some I tried on the shower doors with good results
but the best thing to try first- is plain old Rubbing Alcohol- about a dollar a quart bottle at drugstore
Use it on some newspaper, works great inside at removing plastic outgassing residue and smoke
Outside- it will get layers of crud off and probably the water spots
Also check in the Off Topic link- Wash and Wax section - there will be threads there with details from pro's

What are you currently using to try to clean them?
I'd try first cleaning the windows with your regular car wash soap and water, drying, then applying a glass / plastic polish and buffing. Rinse off and see how it looks.
Re-post in the Wash / Wax section. There's a bunch of helpful people over there who know a ton about specific products.

after you get the window clean- give it 3 coats of carnuba car wax- It wont last long in the florida sun (melt point ~115 degrees) but will help the sprinkler water run off
Claybar then Wax the whole car!
check out the wash and wax section- I learned a lot from reading there and now my car has a smooth deep wet look shine

water spots need more than car wash soap- otherwise none of us would have them

claybar x 3. I had some nasty overspray of God knows what on my windshield (and the rest of the car -
). tried everything. Finally read about the claybar and took about 5 minutes. windows are crystal clear / smooth. If that doesn't work for some reason, try Mr Clean White Eraser (or something like that) - we use it on the shower to get the soap crud off the glass - looks like a white sponge but works. Just put a little dishsoap / water on it and scrub.

If it is like on my truck windows, those are NOT just spots, they are places where acidic water (acid rain) has etched the glass. All the windex, vinegar, and such in world is not going to remove it. The only thing I have found that works is to actually buff it with a buffing compound, and even that takes awhile..![Why Me](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/whyme.gif)

might be a long shot, but when i used to park in a parking garage after a rain there would be spots and stains on the paint and windows (lyme) and the only thing that took it off was vinegar, never know what comes out of those sprinklers...
