buy if new from ebay, you'll never get a better deal. i have it, its good but you should have atleast i/h/e or i/h/p something basic so it really makes a difference.

You can find instructions on the web on how to make a VTEC controller.

get the APEXi V-AFC. you can lower the VTEC engagement point and set the fuel/air ratio (dont do that yourself tho, unless you have a dyno at home )

if you get it i suggest you take your car to Advance EFI in Longueuil to get it tuned right.

i have plans to buy a v-afc too, but only next spring along with new cams and TB. im gonna take it to Advance EFI i heard they are good and their labor rates are not so crazy so that's good!

If you go to www.acura-cl.com and search about the V-AFC you will find that there are a couple guys who have modded their fuel curve and VTEC engagement point and have not seen any gains on the dyno. In fact the A/F ratios set out from the factory are ideal and any modification to them has caused less or equal hp. So you might want to save your money and get something else. Now if you have a blower you will need to alter the fuel curve but at that point you should go with the E-Manage

the v-afc will give you up to 15whp if you have intake/headers/exhaust.

I dont konw wether vafc does give HP gains, what i know it does does is lower your times. #1 by lowering the vtec point a bit, you're able to get more power earlier in the band and #2 whenever you shift, you drop outa vtec so by doing this you are always on vtec.

optimun tl-p lowered vtec Vi:4000-4100, Vo:3900-4000

i wouldnt know for a typeS last time i commented on vtec, some dud tried to eat me alive.

I know someone is gonna come and debate what i said and tell your all this crap about vtec. The simple reality is that this is true, that i've experienced it (i have it TUNED) and that it does its job.

**hidden fees, Ebay =260-270shipped, installation 100-150, tuning=$50 or dynotune it from 50-150/her <--should'nt take more than 2.**
