useless feature in the tl-s

Cruise Control

8,000 miles and I have only used it once (to see if/how it worked)

This car is too fun to meander along at a steady pace.....

hehe!

Hee hee, come to think of it, you're right! This car has plenty of torque at cruising speeds, so keeping a constant pace is pretty easy!

I got an Integra loaner, and boy, it takes a lot of pedal travel to keep the car from slowing down when the road slopes upwards! CC would be useful then.

Same here. In particular, there is a street going from the freeway to my subdivision that is 4 lanes, no lights, just begs for you to haul ass, but the speed limit is 45 and there are always cops there - many times there are 2 of them, one working each side. Most of my neighbors have gotten tickets on this stretch of road.

I just set the cruise to 45 and sick back and enjoy the ride. Otherwise, I have a hard time keeping it under 60.

I also used the cruise once on a trip to San Antonio last summer (in my TL, before the TLS). Set it on 80 and just glided all the way - made the 180 mile trip in a little over 2 hours, and it didn't even feel like I was speeding.

Exactly, I use it more as a speed limiter. On those long highway shots it would be very easy to find youself sneaking up on a triple digit speed...

Iwould not say its useless feaature but one not used much.
I had mine on yesterday while comming to my sisters house a 70 mile run. I had it on untill I ran into heavy rain. The cruise control will give you better gas mileage because its set at a constant speed. I agree I have not used mine much also after 18 months I think I have used it 10 times.

oh dear... I think my humor was too subtle ....

I know I *should* use it - esp for speed control ...

I know I will *like* to use it on a very long trip

I just haven't *wanted* to use it....

re: 3 digits (did that on the mass pike this weekend blowing by these people (!) who were doing 70 side-by-side) you don't have to drive 80 - just get outta my way!!! shouldn't have done that - but it was indeed effortless.....
