use 03 remote casing with 00's

my remote control casing is in very bad condition so I was wondering if I could buy a 02-03 remote control and put my internals in it. the 02/03's look a lot better and have an acura logo on the back:

Does anyone know if my internals will fit directly in the casing and if all the buttons would work (be in the right position)? Maybe someone with a 02/03 could examine their keyfob and take some pictures and we can compare:

thanks!

Umm yes it does, but you will have to grind off some of the plastic on the inside of the remote housing for it to work. A bunch of people have done this. I used to have the picture of it, but I don't anymore. But it's on the forum somewhere. Basically from what I remember, just grind away some plastic, check fitment, grind some more, check fitment, etc. until it fits. A Dremel would be good for this.

You might run into some problems if you grind too much out, but you can always fill any extra space in with some paper or something to make it tight. But that's why I was saying to grind a little, check, grind a little, check, take your time and you will be fine.
