Type S badge on TL-P

This week I have had the unfortunate pleasure of seeing 2 TL-P's with the type S badge an their cars. The one I saw Monday must of been a 99 that looked like sh*t, hadn't been washed for weeks and my freind who was with me points out this car and says "hey look that car is just like yours" he got a quick smack to the head. TL-P's are great cars, there is no need to pretend to be something you are not. Maybe an M5 badge would make my car faster.

Hey Ruvz,

Noticed you live in Toronto too. Just wondering where you got your Type-S emblems stolen so that I can avoid the area Also, where did you purchase your Zaino? Did you buy it through mail order?

I just don't get it. Who do they think they're fooling? It's almost as bad as the fad a few years back where you could buy a fake cellular phone antenna to glue on your windshield so people would think you had a cell phone.

Pathetic bastards...to think they need a small badge to feel better about their cars. Talk about trying to compensate for that which they lack...

Thanks, Cooter. I will try to stay out of those areas. Although, Backbay is a hard place to stay out of.

Well, once was at a mall parking lot (Yorkdale), the other time, I didn't notice till I got home that night , so I don't know... As long as there are ricers, you can't avoid it. One option is to debadge your rear-end, another is just cough up the $40CDN to replace it and hope the next theif doesn't scratch up the car when removing it. OR....you can always hook up the emblem to your battery

My Zaino was ordered through the Canadian distributer... Guy's name is mike from www.car-fanatic.com (cheaper than ordering from the US)

Make sure to make our meet on September 9/6pm at Yorkdale.
:p

True, but a 330ci loaded with the M package and in addition putting on a fake "M" on, isnt quite as bad as a civic putting on a V6 sticker.

Those "Phone-Ees" aren't cool anymore? Then I am off to the garage with WD-40 to remove mine. Cheesh, staying cool in your 40's is tough duty!

Lightbulb

One of the first things I did was remove the 3.2TL and Type-S badges. I don't care about them being taken off the car, but I don't want some bastard scratching my car getting them off, so I just removed them myself. Took about 2 min. with a blowdryer and dental floss.
